How To Block Websites in ALL browsers - XP / Vista / 7
This Is a Quick and easy way to block websites on your computer that you don't want some one to get on. Also be sure to Run As Administrator on notepad in windows Vista & 7 to block the the sites.
How To Block a Website (XP):
1.Go To Start And Run
2.Enter This in The Run Box: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
3.Open Host With Notepad
4.Type In 127.0.0.1 and The website you want to block
For example : 127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
5.Save And Now The Site Is Block
How To Block a Website (Vista & 7):
1.Go To Start, On the Search Bar type notepad, then right click and select run as administrator
2.Select file, then open
3. On the bottom of file name type: C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
4.Type In 127.0.0.1 and The website you want to block
For example : 127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
5.Save And Now The Site Is Block
